MP Associates Consulting was founded in 2004, that works in partnership with individuals, organizations, and communities to co-create a racially just world. Our goal is to to support individuals, groups, or communities to independently and interdependently align, deepen, and sustain their work with their commitment to racial justice.
Our process includes reflection on practice and strategies in the context of power dynamics, and being intentionally thoughtful about the intersections of oppression and privilege as well as using multiracial practices. Our hope is clients will share their lessons learned and skills with others, which will contribute to collective working toward racial justice. We bring 30 years of experience working with organizations and communities to advance racial justice.
Maggie Potapchuk, founder of MP Associates Consulting starts each client relationship by understanding the client’s goals, and by making sure MP Associates Consulting’s capacities provide value to a client’s needs. MP Associates Consulting works with a cadre of diverse, knowledgeable and skilled leaders, many of whom we have partnered with over the years. MP Associates Consulting also makes referrals based on the initial intake assessment.
We Respect the History of the Client
MP Associates Consulting works to learn about unique challenges, strengths and resources as well as the history and culture of the client within the community and/or system context. We are cognizant of our external role working with any client, and honor the work that has occurred previously, and current wisdom present in shaping and moving any effort forward. The client’s expertise and insight are the drivers to creating the plan and effectively moving it forward. Our job is to be mindful when to step forward and back within the change process and building capacity.
We Work with Integrity and Accountability
MP Associates Consulting is committed to an accountability process – first with the client, within the context of the organization/community in which the client works, with the consultant team, and within MP Associates’ communities of practice. MP Associates Consulting works transparently; we believe every group has a shared responsibility to “hold up the mirror” and to be accountable to each other and to the wider community.
